Visit the Cap Corse : In how many days?

By car, you can do the tour in 1 day but we advise you rather 2 days to enjoy the panorama and the most beautiful beaches of the Cap Corse.

You will take the only road that goes around the Cap Corse: the D80.

Things to do in the Cap Corse region:

In which direction should you start to visit Cap Corse?

We advise you to drive around the Cap Corse in an anti-clockwise direction, i.e. from Bastia to Saint-Florent.(link to the 2 articles) This way you will have sunshine on the east coast in the morning and until late in the day when you reach the west coast. The other advantage is that by driving on the right side you will be on the sea side and you can more easily stop by the roadside to contemplate the breathtaking scenery and take beautiful pictures.

Il est impossible de visiter le Cap Corse sans passer par la ville de Nonza.

The road traces endless loops in this dense maquis.

Don't miss the spectacular view, perched on a rocky outcrop of the town, of the black pebble beach. These pebbles owe their colour to the waste from the old asbestos quarry in Canari.

In the town, you can admire the beautiful church of Sainte Julie (Sainte Julie (santa Ghjulia in Corsican) is the patron saint of Corsica. Climb up to the Paoline tower for a magnificent view of the village and the black beach.

The Paoline Tower is one of the most important historical monuments in Corsica.

You arrive at the end of your organised trip to Corsica after more than 110 km through the maquis, the beaches and the steep paths.

We finish our visit to Cap Corse by passing through the town of Patrimonio, which has gained its reputation thanks to its vineyards benefiting from an AOC (appellation of controlled origin).

If you are a wine lover, don't hesitate to follow the famous Patrimonio wine route and take the opportunity to taste the wines directly from the producer.

You also come across the beautiful 17thth century baroque church of Saint-Martin, which is worth a visit before continuing to Saint-Florent (or returning to Bastia via the Col de Teghime) to complete this tour of the Cap Corse

Patrimonio ne se situe qu’à 30 min de Bastia et 12 min de Saint-Forent, c’est une bonne base pour explorer la région du Nebbiu (désert des Agriates notamment).
